ABOUT ME

Hey! As you probably noticed from the upper left corner heading, my name is Daria. I am a student photographer based in Dublin, Ireland, learning how to view the world through the viewfinder's perspective.
My journey with photography started when my parents bought a small Panasonic compact camera. It was so durable that the five-year old me was allowed to play with it. I was mesmerised by the tiny screen that instantly displayed the smudge I captured. Later, my dad upgraded to a Sony DSLR but that was too complex for mini Daria. As a teenager, I took over and became the family holiday photographer. But it was not until I started a just-for-fun instagram page for my pet dog Oscar back in 2015 that my photography skills started developing. I took more and more advanced photoshoots with my dog and took my time in post production on each photo that was posted. As a result, I gained confidence and started acquiring photography jobs and commissioned work. (Side note, the instagram has over 5k followers)
To continue my interest in photography and the creative arts, I decided to study a BA in Communication Studies which I graduated with a first class honours and now, in the same institution, I am a student of MSc in Emerging Media. The main types of photography that ignite my creative side and which I have experience in include: Landscape, People, Pet, Concert, and Sport Photography.
Everyday I capture moments that will help me build a photography portfolio. I am a Graphic Designer with over two year experience in a multinational company, Smartbox. This 9-5 job has allowed me to upkeep my part-time job as a photographer. I am also a former Deputy Images Editor of The College View newspaper.
So far, my big photography gigs included: Cycle Against Suicide Student Leader Congress at 3Arena, Dublin with over 6000 audience members, and CCAO 103rd Ashbourne Camogie Weekend (Sporting Event), with many other smaller photography events portrayed on this website.
Any business query or any question you may have, do not hesitate to contact me. I don't bite neither does my dog.
